» Hever Festival Productions has produced professional theatre at Hever for almost 30 years.

This year, the in-house production is Noel Coward’s classic comedy, Blithe Spirit.

Labelled an “improbable farce” by the author, the events of the play follow a writer’s experiment with the occult and a séance that goes decidedly not according to plan.

The writer’s deceased wife, the indomitable Elvira, is conjured from the “other side” by eccentric medium, Madam Arcati, and much to the discomfort and displeasure of the writer’s present wife.

This bizarre and explosive situation proceeds to unravel with unpredictable and hysterical results.

This production is at The Festival Theatre at Hever Castle from Saturday (July 16) to July 23.

n The theatre provides reserved and covered seating. For more details go to or call the box office 01732 866114.
