Wilmington visit for comedian Syd Little
PUBLISHED: 09:21 16 June 2011
Syd Little, one half of comedy duo Little and Large, is celebrating the DVD release of his life story by visiting UK churches.
Syd is due at the Wilmington Christian Fellowship, Broad Lane, Wilmington on Saturday, June 25.
He spent 14 years on primetime BBC and has been in showbiz for 50 years. He now invites audiences to go behind the fame and glamour of his life and consider the faith that got him through good and bad times. In 1995, Syd’s eldest son, Paul, died of a drug overdose and his daughter was seriously injured after being attacked.
He said: “I have always been a churchgoer and believed in God but it never had much to do with the reality of my life, and all the difficulties I faced.
“Now I know that whatever happens, God is with me, and helps me through.”
