Boy suspected of possessing ‘bladed article’

Four teenage boys have been arrested in connection with an alleged attempted robbery in Gravesend.

Reports suggest that three men were threatened by a group of males in Sheppy Place at around 11pm on September 4, with officers arresting four suspects in Gillingham just after midnight on September 5.

The four arrested males were aged between 13 and 16, and all were arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery.

In addition to these charges, the 15 year old was arrested for theft of cycle, the 14 year old was arrested for theft of cycle and going equipped for theft, and the youngest boy, at 13 years old was arrested for theft of cycle and possession of a bladed article.

A weapon, believed to be a replica blank firing pistol, has been recovered.

All four have been bailed until November 1 pending further enquiries.
