Csiszar was jailed for 14 years.

A 34-year-old man has been jailed for 14 years after beating a man in his Gravesend home, forcing him into his own car and driving off during a Christmas Day robbery.

Marian Csiszar of Christianfields Avenue, Gravesend, was sentenced at Maidstone Crown Court on August 4 for a charge of assaulting, occasioning grievous bodily harm and robbery.

He was also handed a one year jail term for aggravated vehicle taking, to be served concurrently, and a ten-year ban from driving.

DC Steve Gibbins said: “Csiszar carried out a particularly heinous and sustained assault on his helpless and innocent victim. He tormented him and beat him continuously for what must have seemed like a very long time. However, despite suffering a horrendous ordeal, the victim showed great courage in helping us put Csiszar before the courts.”
