27-year-old Swanscombe man appeared in court charge with rape

A 27-year-old man has appeared in court charged with attempted rape and assault.

Sean Summers, 27, of Broomfield Road, Swanscombe appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.

He was charged with attempted rape of a woman over the age of 16, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, attempting to choke/suffocate/strangle in order to commit an indictable offence, criminal damage and cannabis possession.

He will appear at Maidstone Crown Court on November 15 for plea and case management.
