500 books ruined at Dartford library

More than 500 books have been damaged at Dartford Library after heavy rainfall.

Police are investigating the theft of lead from the roof over the weekend of 22 - 24 September which is thought to have led to the leak.

The library was shut on Wednesday and Thursday last week for repair work to be done.

Anyone with information regarding the theft should contact Kent Police on 101.
