A junction off the A2 has re-opened following a seven-vehicle crash at 11am on Friday morning.

The flyover approach to the Dartford River Crossing on the M25 was closed cuasing heavy delays as traffic diversions were put in place near junction two on the London-bound carriageway.

No-one was seriously injured in the collision and the juntion was closed for two hours while vehicles were recovered.

The police helicopter was sent and a public address system was used to advise drivers caught in the tailbacks.

Heavy traffic was expected throughout the rush hour as tailbacks had built up considerably.
