Pantomime runs until January 4

Aladdin, featuring Boyzone’s Shane Lynch has broken all existing box office figures at the Woodville theatre in Gravesend.

The pantomime opened on December 16.

The cast includes Ben Ofoedu from Phats & Small, Eastenders’ Jamie Foreman and the winner for the first ever Panto Factor Jamie Papanicolaou starring as Aladdin.

Kelly Loft, 33 from New Barn went to see the show. She said: “I loved Boyzone for years and the closest I ever came to seeing them was at Wembley. It was great to be able to bring my kids to enjoy the show and for us mums to have some fun seeing our teenage idol too. It was a fantastic.”

During rehearsals last week Mr Lynch said: “We’re having a great time putting the show together. It’s hard work, but it’s going to be a spectacular production. A great cast, a lot of fun, amazing effects and a live band who make a big sound, so it’s exciting to hear so many people want to come and see us.”

Aladdin runs 6 days a week until January 4. For details and to book tickets visit
