Amazon adventurer Ed Stafford – the first person to walk the length of the South American river – has delivered a talk to sixth form students.
Wilmington Grammar School welcomed the 35-year-old who completed his epic journey last year.
He described the challenges he faced navigating more than 4,000 miles of jungle. This included wandering through areas controlled by drug barons, dodging deadly wildlife, and took him from the Andes in the west to the Atlantic ocean in the east.
