TROUBLED singer Amy Winehouse has praised her 12-year-old goddaughter and has vowed to make her into a star.
The Rehab singer whose dad lives in Greenhithe, has recorded a duet version of Alicia Key's track If I Ain't Got You with her goddaughter Dionne Bromfield from Chislehurst and has exhibited her talents in a new YouTube video.
On her talented godchild, who goes to Beaverwood School, Winehouse, 24, said: "She's better than I was at that age."
Dionne, who's being sponsored by her famous godmother to go to a singing camp in America during the summer holidays, said after the five-minute recording: "It was great - she's a fabulous teacher.
"I don't care what anyone says about her, she's really good with me. I loved singing the Alicia Keys song - it's one of my favourites. It was Amy who wanted me to do the video. She keeps on saying she thinks I've got a really great voice." Amy added: "She's better than I was at her age. She's got an amazing voice. I just think people should know about Dionne - she's already being signed up by a music label and it won't be long before people know about her."
Musician Mark Ronson also joined Dionne's fanclub after he heard a recording of her voice two weeks ago. The producer of Winehouse's best-selling album Back to Black said: "I thought she was an adult. Watch this space with Dionne." Talented Dionne attends the London singing school Voxbox in Camden. Her teacher Lucy Phillips said: "She has an amazing voice for her age - it's rich and pure. She's going to go far. Amy's helping her with a summer singing camp in the US in July. She'll be working with the best." Amy Winehouse has also posted a video of her and Pete Doherty playing with pet mice, called Amy Winemouse.
And one scene has a message for husband Blake Fielder-Civil.
"Blake, please don't divorce Mummy," the singer says in a high-pitched voice as she holds one of the mice up to the camera.
