Appeal after man dies in M20 Boxing Day crash

Boxing Day ended in tragedy for one family after the death of a motorist on the M20.

Witnesses are being sought after a Vauxhall Vectra crashed between junction one at Farningham and two at Cooper’s Wood at around 8pm. The driver, aged in his 50s, died at the scene.

Insp Martin Stevens said: “We are particularly keen to speak with a male witness who made the initial 999 call for this incident. Unfortunately due to an error with the phone number given we have been unable to make contact with him.

“The number given had a Scottish landline code so it is possible this witness is not in Kent. This person is a crucial witness to the investigation so we are very keen to hear from him.”

Anyone with information can call the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01622 798538.
