23-year-old in serious but stable condition

Police are appealing for witnesses after a young man was stabbed on a train in Swanley.

The 23-year-old was attacked last night on a Gillingham to London Victoria train at about 8.15pm as the train was arriving at Swanley station.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics, then taken to hospital with multiple stab wounds, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Officers have been analysing CCTV footage of the attack.

Detective Inspector Andy Rose, who is leading the investigation, said: “I am appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident, and has not yet come forward to police, to do so as a matter of urgency.”
