A man from Gravesend was arrested after police were called to reports of a man with a weapon in Gloucester Road.

Kent Police received the report at 8.40am today (Tuesday, October 2).

A police spokesman said: “Officers, including armed officers as a precaution, attended the scene and a 47-year-old man was arrested in connection with the report.

He remains in custody.

“Officers remain in the area conducting enquiries and at present no weapon has been located.”
