Man arrested in connection with death in Gravesend

Detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate have arrested a Gravesend man on suspicion of murder.

The arrest was made on the evening on July 22 and the 28-year-old man remains in custody at this time.

He was arrested as part of a murder investigation into the death of a 31-year-old man who was found with head and stomach injuries in St Patrick’s Gardens, Gravesend, at around 8pm on July 21.

The victim, who was from the Cranbrook area, was taken to hospital for treatment but died yesterday morning (July 22).

The deceased is believed to have travelled to the scene following an incident at a private address in Taunton Vale, Gravesend.

Officers are continuing their enquiries to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

Formal identification of the victim has not yet taken place.
