Police made five arrests in Gravesham last night as teenage yobs attempted to bring disorder to north Kent, following three nights of riots and looting in London.

Attacks on property were reported in Perry Street, Northfleet, and teenagers taunted police in Gravesend town centre, starting a bin fire and causing criminal damage.

Earlier in the day Kent Police gave advice to business owners on how to protect their staff and property. All Kent garages agreed to not sell fuel in cans to anyone suspicious.
