35-year-old will not drive for 24 months

A woman has been banned from driving after being caught at nearly three times the legal limit.

Marcell Simpson, 35, admitted drink-driving at Mid Kent Magistrates’ Court after being stopped in Park Road, Swanley, in November.

Simpson, of Dawson Drive, Hextable, had 291 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of urine, compared with the legal limit of 107 milligrammes.

She was banned for 24 months and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £60 victim surcharge, although she can reduce her ban by six months by completing a rehabilitation course.
