“Big” Northfleet industrial estate fire burns through the night

Around 80 firefighters tackled a fire in Northfleet Industrial Estate early this morning.

The fire in Botany Road, Northfleet, is now believed to be under control with 25 firefighters tackling the blaze.

A building measuring 30 metres by 60 metres and six long goods vehicles were involved in the fire.

A fire crew spokesman said: “It was quite a big fire.

“We were called out just after one am and we only got back after seven this morning.”

There are no reports of any injuries and the cause of the fire in not known at this stage.
