The deep seated fire started on Tuesday morning

Approximately 200 tonnes of logs and wood chip were alight in Button Street, Swanley earlier this morning (Tuesday).

Two fire engines were called to the scene, where crews used an on-site digger and a cold cut firefighting system to tackle the deep seated fire.

The system uses super-high-pressurised water system to cut through materials and extinguish the fire faster by reaching the seat of the blaze.

Crews were called on scene just before 7am and had the fire under control just before 9.30am.
