The jobs fair lasted for two days

Out-of-work residents visited a jobs fair this week showcasing more than 2,000 positions at Bluewater.

For the sixth consecutive year the Greenhithe shopping centre will be ran the fair on Thursday and Friday.

On the first day, 300 leisure and hospitality jobs were offered to candidates, while today another 1,800 retail positions were showcased, with positions available from management to part-time vacancies.

Gareth Johnson, MP for Dartford, was at the fair, which has filled more than 7,000 positions since it started in 2011.

He said: “The fair is a key employment initiative in matching hopeful candidates with positions at Bluewater, and each year the event goes from strength to strength. The variety of jobs available continues to grow, which creates an even more diverse range of opportunities for local people.”
