Farningham robbery

A car jacker forced a man out of the passenger seat of a BMW parked in Farningham High Street and drove off with it in broad daylight.

Police were called at around 2.20pm on September 13 after the luxury family car was stolen while its owner was in the bank.

The thief was said to have left the scene in convoy with a black Vauxhall Insignia.

A computer generated image of the man has been released.

Det Con Michelle James said: “This was a high value robbery, with a vehicle worth around £15,000 being taken. The offence took place in broad day light and I’m hopeful that any witnesses can contact us, or that anyone who recognises the man in the image can get in touch and help us further our investigation.”

Anyone with information should call Kent Police on 101 quoting crime reference YY/16690/12.
