A MAN has appeared in court charged with the murder of a care worker whose body was found in a suitcase.

IT specialist Clinton Bailey, 35, of Malpas Road, Brockley, was remanded in custody after he appeared at Hendon Magistrates Court on Friday.

The body of Leah Questin, 37, who was originally from the Philippines, was found in a black lock suitcase dumped in a dried-up pond known as 'old pond' on farmland off Buckland Road, Cliffe, near Gravesend on Thursday September 24.

A friend had reported Ms Questin missing to the Missing Persons Unit at Brent overnight on September 16 and 17.

She was last seen at her home in Sneyd Road, north west London.

Mr Bailey is expected to appear at the Old Bailey on January 8 next year.
