A Gravesend mother who stole money from charity donation boxes in north Kent has walked free from court.
Michelle Roberts, 43, of Ascot Road, Gravesend, posed as a collector for charities including the Demelza Hospice, EllenorLions Hospice and the Kent Association of the Blind.
She pleaded guilty to six counts of fraud by false representation at an earlier date and yesterday (11) at Dartford Magistrates Court she was handed a one year prison sentence suspended for two years.
Roberts must also complete 200 hours of unpaid community work and pay compensation to the charities she stole from.
