Dartord’s Christmas panto was launched last week by this year’s star Bradley Walsh.

The presenter of ITV’s The Chase and star of crime drama Law & Order: UK was joined at Acacia Hall, in Dartford, by fellow Cinderella cast Barry Hester (Widow Twanky) and Louise English (Fairy Godmother) - as well as deputy mayor, Cllr Avtar Sandhu.

Walsh will star as Prince Charming at The Orchard Theatre from December 14 to January 4, and gave us a first glimpse at his panto costume complete with gold trim and puffed sleeves.

He made his name on The Royal Variety Show in 1993 and has gone on to become one of the country’s best loved stars.

Chris Glover, director of The Orchard Theatre, said: “I am thrilled that Bradley will be starring in our Christmas pantomime, Cinderella. He is one of the country’s leading entertainers and a household name and I’m sure our patrons will be thrilled to watch him on stage.”

Last year’s panto, Aladdin, sold more than 32,000 tickets and theatre bosses will be hoping to better that with Walsh leading the cast this time round.

Tickets cost between £15 and £32.50, with concessions available. To book, visit, or call the box office on 01322 220000.
