A BUS company has made kids' fares available all day over the summer holidays.
Arriva launched its Kids Go for 40p campaign on Monday (July 27), making its child single fares available all day until August 31.
The scheme allows up to two children under the age of 16 to travel for 40p each per single journey, provided they are travelling with an adult using a single, return, Arriva Day ticket or an Arriva period ticket, including those holding an English National Concessionary Permit.
Richard Lewis, from Arriva Southern Counties said: "We are pleased to extend the time our Kids Go for 40p fares are available during the school summer holidays and hope that families will leave the car at home and use the bus for some of their trips out.
"As well as getting a better view of the passing scenery from a bus, leaving the car at home will help to reduce congestion and pollution, and many people may find that bus travel is more convenient and cheaper than they think.
"With our special child fares, the cost of a family day out is even cheaper."
Details of the times and routes of Arriva's buses can be obtained by calling 0844 800 4411, by visiting www.arrivabus.co.uk or by popping in to one of Arriva's travel shops.
