The search is on for a choir to sing Christmas songs at Bluewater shopping centre on Friday to welcome walkers on a pilgrimage to end homelessness.

The forty walkers are joining the 60 mile walk from Canterbury to London which has been organised by homelessness charity Crisis.

They set off from Canterbury Cathedral on Wednesday and are due to reach Southwark Cathedral on Saturday December 10.

The Walk to End Homelessness was previously known as the Crisis Pilgrimage and was last held in the 1990s.

It is being revived to mark the charity’s 40 years of offering services for homeless and vulnerably housed people at Christmas time.

Organiser Kajal Odedra would like to hear from a choir which can join the walkers at Bluewater from 5.30pm on Friday (December 9).

She said: “If a school or community choir would like to come and join us we would love to hear from them.”

They should contact her on 020 7426 3830 or kajal.odedra@crisis.org.uk
