READERS have sent in their stunning photographs of fireworks taken at this year's bonfire night celebrations.
Software developer Glenn Boggis, 33, from Perry Street, Northfleet, took spectacular pictures at the display on the River Thames, Gravesend, on Friday.
He said: "I have only been doing it for about two weeks now. It was my first night time shoot and I am quite pleased with the results. I quite enjoyed the display to be honest.
"I have always been interested in photography but this is the first time I have been committed enough to go out and get myself some equipment and really go for it."
"A couple of my friends are into amateur photography and we discussed getting together and doing our own thing but I just thought I'd try one of the local ones."
The stunning display was part of the annual event at the Promenade, organised by Gravesham Borough Council.
Reporter fan David Hebden, 42, from Galley Hill Road, Northfleet, thought the display was an ideal opportunity to try out his photography skills.
The lorry driver drove to Tilbury on the opposite side of the river from the fireworks to get the best view.
He said: "It's a hobby I just go into this year and the fireworks were a good opportunity to take some photos.
"I took 123 on the night and obviously some of them weren't too clever but some of them were really nice. I went over to Tilbury so you can see Gravesend in the background of the pictures."
