Police are appealing for witnesses after a man who tried to stop a fight in The Grove, Gravesend, was left with a broken nose, fractured cheekbone and bleeding behind his eye.

The victim, a man in his 20s, was attempting to break up a fight near the junction with Saddington Street, just before 4.30am on Sunday, May 15.

Whilst trying to stop the fight he was punched more than once by an unknown person.

Now the victim may require further surgery to recover fully.
