Firefighters were called on Saturday night

Smoke was seen billowing from a Dartford petrol station on Saturday night after a car burst into flames.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service sent two fire engines to the Esso Garage in Princes Road after the engine fire broke out.

Crews were called to the scene, at the roundabout for the A282 and M25, just after 11.30pm.

A KFRS spokesperson said: “The vehicle had caught fire while refueling and crews used foam to extinguish the fire and prevent further spread.”

No injuries were reported and there was no damage to the petrol station.

Crews had made the scene safe by 11.48pm.
