THIEVES have caused the closure of a car park after they stole the pay and display machines.

The Gurdwara Car Park, on Saddington Street, near the new Sikh Gurdwara, Gravesend was closed on Monday following the persistent vandalism.

Thieves had been removing the pay and display machines from the area.

Visitors wishing to park in the town centre have been advised to use the Parrock Street car parks, Milton Place and Rathmore Road.
