She said: “We live in Wilmington and our cat Maisie has become yet another victim.

“She was found in my neighbour’s driveway.

“It has been confirmed by South Norwood Animal Rescue and Liberty that her tail and ear had been cut off by a knife - in some cases it has been the cats head - by this evil person that is walking our streets.”

She said that the cat killer or killers have also been known to attack rabbits and foxes.

“Try and protect your cats and keep them indoors at night if you can,” she added.

“We do not want anyone else to go through the heartache that we are going through right now.

“This was a shocking and sickening attack on an innocent family pet.

“This person or persons must be caught!”
