Celebrations were held last Friday (May 20) to mark the 25th anniversary of a charity shop in Dartford.

Staff and volunteers at the British Heart Foundation’s (BHF) shop on Lowfield Street marked the occasion with a birthday party and awarded certificates to people who have been volunteering at the shop for more than a year.

BHF area manager June Tumilty said: “We’ve enjoyed a fantastic 25 years of business in the Dartford shop. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all our loyal customers and volunteers who really make this shop special and help the BHF fund its life saving research.

“We are looking forward to welcoming even more customers in the shop and making the next 25 years just as successful!

“We’re always in need of support, so if you have a few hours a week to spare we’d love to hear from you as we really are in need of volunteers, especially anyone who can help us with our books and bric-a-brac.

“Join the fight for every heartbeat today and help fund our life-saving heart research!”

The shop on Lowfield Street offers a wide range of goods such as clothes, shoes, accessories, DVDs, books and CDs.
