Dartford’s ‘not for profit’ charities and community groups could register for a grant offering up to £3,000.

The Club Together Grant Scheme, run by Dartford Borough Council, offers local groups between £500 and £3,000, to improve services offered to Dartfordians.

To be eligible, the projects must improve Dartford’s sporting provision or work towards improving club standards through accreditation or training.

The project could also expand services for young people or older people.

Jeremy Kite, leader of the council, said: “The council is once again offering funding to worthy local groups and projects through the Community Grant Scheme.

“It’s always great to see how the money awarded helps to improve and extend the services and activities available around the borough.

Full details of the scheme and an online application form are available at www.dartford.gov.uk/communitygrants, with the deadline for applications February 29.
