An estate agent with offices in Gravesham has raised over £16,000 for the charity

An estate agent which has offices in Meopham and Swanley has donated a life changing amount of money for Kent’s Macmillan Cancer Support charity.

The donation of £16,445 was raised for the charity by Kings Estate and Letting. The company has been donating money to Macmillan Cancer Support for every letting and sale of a house or flat since September 2012.

The cancer care charity says that the sum is life changing for them.

Macmillan’s Kent fundraising manager, Jade Millsom, said: “The money could fund a Macmillan Nurse for four months which is an amazing achievement.”

The estate agent’s teams from the branch offices in Sevenoaks, Borough Green, Meopham, and Swanley have also been staunch participants and supporters of a number of the charity’s fundraising activities. These have included hosting the ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ and they are currently planning an inter-branch sporting fundraiser to help raise even more for the charity.

Ms Millsom said: “Approximately 8,500 people in Kent are diagnosed with cancer every year and across the county we have a team of 134 Macmillan Healthcare Professionals working in hosptials and in the community. I am thrilled to be working with this caring company into 2015.”

Crispin Williams, proprietor of Kings Estate and Lettings, said: “I am absolutely delighted that the partnership Kings Estate and Lettings Agents has formed with Macmillan Cancer Support will be continuing for a third successive year. For every property that Kings sells or rents we give a contribution to Macmillan, so our thanks must also go to the owners, buyers and renters, who – by using Kings – help us to achieve this support for such a wonderful charity.
