Children at Craytots preschool in Swanscombe got creative for Easter with a seasonal hat-making competition, with their efforts judged by town mayor Vic Openshaw.

Two-year-old Charlotte Cardnell, three-year-old Jackson Mcrae and Jack Gillen and Izzy Horrigen, both aged four, were declared the winners.

The competition is an annual event at the preschool, and sees all its children make Easter hats with their parents at home and bring them in.

A raffle was also held, which raised £70 for the preschool, with prizes including books, a money box, and, of course, Easter eggs.
