The cast of Cinderella, currently showing at Dartford’s Orchard Theatre in Home Gardens, visited children being cared for by chYps as a Christmas treat.

ChYps, the children and young peoples’ service of EllenorLions Hospices, is a Dartford based charity in East Hill Drive, that cares for children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.

Their annual Christmas party was held at Dartford Football Club on December 23, where the children and their families mingled with the panto stars.

Each child received a present from Father Christmas thanks to Henry Schein Dental, which organised the party.

They were also given goody bags from the panto stars and enjoyed Tonibell ice cream donated by businessman Gary Rich.

Dancers from Mandy Ellen Performing Arts, dressed as princesses, were on hand to ensure the children and young people had a great time at the party.

ChYps nurses provide full hospice care to their patients usually in their own home.

Tracie Dempster, chYps’ head of care, said: “We had around 60 families at the party and it was wonderful to see so many of them, all smiling and having a fantastic time. We’re so grateful to everyone who helped make the party a success.”
