Residents welcomed the peculiar visitors

Edward Moore House in Gravesend welcomed some strange visitors this week as a range of animals were brought in to meet the residents.

Snakes, cockroaches, spiders and snails were among the visitors brought the residential home by ZooLab.

Residents and staff were all involved in handling the creepy crawlies, with animal therapy believed to be a significant aid in the battle against mental illness and loneliness.

Chrissie Heyes, home manager of Edward Moore House said: “The residents absolutely loved meeting the extraordinary animals as it was an unusual but exciting activity.”
