Pressure from residents to reintroduce free parking on Saturdays in Gravesend town centre has led to the council formally debating the subject in the chamber.

Campaign group Urban Gravesham collected more than 6,000 signatures - four times what is needed to trigger a council debate on an issue.

The meeting is at the Civic Centre in Windmill Street on October 2 starting at 7.30pm.
