Northfleet teenagers found in North London

PUBLISHED: 10:01 05 April 2012

Two girls turned up safe and well a week after disappearing in the middle of the night.

Natalie Kelly and Rosina Lee, both 16, vanished from Northfleet at 2am on Friday, March 23 and were reported missing when there was no reply to text and Facebook messages or calls from their worried families.

On Monday, the girls went into a police station in north London after an inspector sent them a text message telling them to get in touch. It is believed they had gone to stay with a friend.

The mother of one of the girls said she was living a nightmare and was terrified they had been abducted.

Along with the police investigation, the girls’ family and friends made posters, contacted friends and searched areas the girls were known to visit.

The youngsters were unharmed and voluntarily got in touch. They were collected from Middlesex police station and returned home to Northfleet.
