Members of the public are invited to attend the ribbon cutting and further activities

Dame Kelly Holmes has invited Gravesend residents to the opening of her ‘lifestyle cafe’ in Cyclopark tomorrow, June 6.

The double Olympic champion will be launching Cafe 1809 in the park following the success of a sister cafe in her home town of Hildenborough.

Dame Kelly will welcome members of the public at 9.45am for the official ribbon cutting ceremony.

Guests will then be invited to take to the track for a running session with the athlete at 11am, before returning to the cafe for refreshments and a chance to speak with the Olympian.

The cafe’s aim is to be a “social hub for lcoal pepople who want to be part of a likeminded, active community and feel good about themselves. It seels to bring families and friends together and also support runners, cuclists and fitness enthusiasts who visit Cyclopark.”

For those not able to join the morning event, Dame Kelly will be bacl from 4pm onwards hosting running and cycling activities.
