Darenth author eyes success in America

A writer from Darenth is heading for transatlantic success following news her novel will go on sale throughout the USA and Canada.

Cry and You Cry Alone is Rosalinda Hutton’s personal account of how an idyllic childhood in Surrey broke down and she was plunged into the dark world of a 1960s institution that was St Anne’s Convent in Orpington

Rosalinda, 55, resolved to remember everything and later in life pursued her life-long dream of being a novelist by studying Professional Writing at North West Kent College in 1999.

Cry and You Cry Alone, her first novel, was published by Random House in 2011.
