A man suspected of driving a stolen car was arrested on November 24 after it failed to stop for police officers in Dartford.

Officers on routine patrol in Trevithick Drive at 12.15am became suspicious of a car that was driving erratically and indicated for the driver to stop.

The car failed to stop and continued to Page Close, Bean where it is alleged it collided with a fence and a parked car.

The driver got out of the vehicle and entered nearby gardens.

A 27-year-old man of no fixed address was later arrested in Bramble Avenue at 12.49am on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, failing to stop for police officers, failing stop after a collision, driving without a licence, drug driving and possession of controlled drugs.

He remains in police custody while the investigation is ongoing.
