Appeal following Dartford collision

Officers investigating a collision in Dartford after a vehicle failed to stop for police are appealing for witnesses.

The incident happened in Heath Lane at 9.25pm yesterday (November 11) after a black BMW came to the attention of officers who requested it to stop.

The car failed to do so and officers followed the vehicle for a short time before it was involved in a collision with two parked vehicles.

The driver, a 25-year-old man, and the passenger, a 20-year-old woman, both sustained injuries described as minor.

Both were taken to hospital for treatment where they currently remain.

Officers believe the vehicle was reported as stolen.

Following the incident the man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and burglary while the woman was arrested on suspicion of theft, burglary and possession with intent to supply.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses to the collision or any motorists who may have dash cam footage or CCTV footage of the incident.
