Dartford Council backs Stoptober challenge

PUBLISHED: 06:00 24 September 2013

Dartford Council has thrown its weight behind Stoptober, the stop smoking challenge which starts next Tuesday (October 1).

By joining the Stoptober challenge you will be able to receive as much or as little support as you want to keep you on track and best of all Stoptober support is free.

It includes a Stoptober pack full of information and resources to help you quit, a 28-day mobile phone app and a text message service that both provide motivational pick-me-ups and detailed tools and tips for coping, as well as the encouragement and support from thousands of people going through the same thing via social media.

Cllr Ann Allen, lead Member with responsibility for health, said: “There is lots of support available across the borough so why not take up the Stoptober challenge and give up for good?”
