Grants between £500 and £3,000 are available for local groups to improve the services they offer to Dartford residents

Grants of up to £3,000 are available for not for profit registered charities around the borough to improve their services for Dartford communities.

Funds are available from Dartford Borough Council, who are inviting local groups to apply for funding from the community grant scheme.

Eligible projects must meet the set criteria by improving Dartford’s sporting provision or working towards bettering club standards through accreditation or training. Or, they must improve, provide or expand services for young or older people.

Applications will be judged by a panel of councillors and successful applicants will receive their funding before the end of the current financial year.

Leader of the council Jeremy Kite, said, “The council is once again offering funding to worthy local groups and projects through the community grant scheme. It’s always great to see how the money awarded helps to improve and extend the services and activities available around the Borough.”

Full details of the scheme and an online application form are available at www.dartford.gov.uk/communitygrants.

Applications and supporting documents must be received by Monday, November 7 2016
