The Dartford Crossing is currently closed to high winds.

Clockwise traffic is being diverted via the Eastbore Dartford Tunnel after a 30mph was imposed earlier in the day.

The decision to close the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge comes as the Met Office has issued a wind warning for the South East, with heavy rain expected to hit nearby Thurrock this afternoon.

It is thought the bridge may be open again by 5pm, providing there are no strong gusts.

Due to the closure, there is congestion between junction two and three on the M25 anti-clockwise, and junctions 29 and 30 clockwise.
