Austen Allen Homecare hosted the event, which took place at their Dartford branch, Crown House, to bring employees of the company together with clients and family members from Dartford, Gravesend and Swanley.

The event was held to highlight the importance of carers and the vital role homecare companies play in the community by giving people the freedom to choose their care in their homes.

The Mayor of Dartford, Cllr Avtar Sandhu MBE, attended the event and said a few words of encouragement about how valuable homecare companies like Austen Allen Homecare are to society, before officially starting the event by cutting the first slice of cake.

Staff of Austen Allen Homecare made cakes for people who attended to enjoy and carers and clients were encouraged to give feedback on the services provided, as well as hearing about up and coming new ventures such as a Personal Assistant service.
