»Hotel staff went around the world for charity on Sunday.

As part of the Hilton Hotel Community Foundation event, fundraisers at the Dartford Bridge venue were among those across the continent who collectively pedalled 24,901.55 miles – the circumference of the earth.

All proceeds raised from this year’s event in Dartford will be go to Treetops pre-school, to support the school’s equipment and running costs.

General manager Ashraf Nabih said: “Community work is an important part of our hospitality philosophy and our team is very excited to be working together to support Treetops.”

Hotel team members, charity partners and guests from more than 100 hotels in eight countries took part to raise money for charities supporting ill and disadvantaged children and young adults, chosen by each hotel.

It is not yet clear how much was raised.
