Two weeks of music, creative visual arts and dance were brought to a climax on Friday as pupils from two Dartford schools, Temple Hill Community Primary, in St Edmunds Road, and Oakfield Community Primary, in Oakfield Lane, took part in a colourful carnival parade.

The theme of the event was recycling and sustainability and all the materials that the children used to make costumes and arts pieces were made from re-used materials.

Community organizations Kent Equality Cohesion Council and Cohesion Plus helped organise the project, which allowed children from the schools to showcase their talents.
