Students from the Leigh University Technical College have won a Young Enterprise award.

A team of five pupils - Cameron McIntosh, Jacques Whitehead, Stephan Ayolie, Sam Thompsett and Jack Fletcher - were crowned the north west Kent Young Enterprise winners for their web design, graphic design and CAD company WeblicationPro.

The students beat teams from Dartford Grammar School for Girls and Wilmington Grammar School for Boys, who were runners-up.

The team also won the most entrepreneurial company, best managing director and company daring and discipline awards.

The students were presented with their award by deputy Dartford Mayor Ian Armitt.

College principal Steve Leahey said: “Our vision is one of entrepreneurship and these students epitomise this with this outstanding achievement.”

The team now go forward to the Kent final on April 30.
