Seventeen people were rushed to hospital after a collision between a minibus and a car on the M25 on May 24.

Emergency services were called at around 6:20pm to an accident between junction two at Dartford and three at Swanley, the direction towards Dartford tunnel, after the two vehicles crashed into each other and the bus had overturned.

The two firefighter crews from Dartford worked to free people from the wreckage.

There were five ambulances, four ambulance cars and one air ambulance who took the injured to Darent Valley hospital.

A hospital spokesman said: “There were five injuries in total. They included a woman in her fifties who suffered a serious head injury and three patients who were immobilised on stretcher in case of potential spine injuries.”
